FLIP THE SWITCH

An example, not a real shop. Yours would use your own name, prices and photos.

You're losing work you'll never hear about

Nobody rings to tell you they picked someone else. Here's where it usually goes wrong.

The search

They Google you at 9pm

Half of local searches happen after hours, when you can't answer the phone. If there's nothing to look at, they carry on scrolling to whoever's next on the list.

The doubt

No website reads as risky

Fair or not, people assume a business with no site is either tiny, dying, or a bit dodgy. A single decent page removes that doubt in about four seconds.

The questions

You answer the same three things daily

Are you open? How much? Where do I park? Every one of those is a phone call you don't need to take if the answer's already online.

What you actually get

No jargon. Here it is in plain terms.

A site that works on phonesBecause that's where three quarters of your customers will see it.
Your prices and hours, front and centreThe two things everyone's looking for, not buried three clicks down.
Set up properly on GoogleSo you turn up on Maps when someone searches your trade near you.
Your own photos, not stock nonsenseI'll come and take them if you haven't got any decent ones.
A contact form that reaches youEnquiries land straight in your email or your phone. Your choice.
The domain and hosting sortedI handle the technical side entirely. You never log into anything.

Two ways to do it

Every job is quoted up front and fixed before I start. No hourly rates, no surprises at the end.

Then a small monthly fee to keep it running. That covers your domain, hosting, backups, keeping it secure, and small changes whenever you need them — new prices, new opening hours, a photo swapped out. I buy and manage the domain for you, so there's nothing for you to renew and nothing to forget. No contract, cancel whenever.

The bit you're wondering about

I've already got a Facebook page

Good — keep it. But Facebook is rented ground. You don't control who sees your posts, plenty of your customers aren't on it, and it doesn't turn up properly when someone Googles your trade. A website is the bit you own. They work best together.

I'm not technical at all

You don't need to be. You never log into anything, and there's nothing to learn. If something needs changing you text me and I do it. That's the whole point of the monthly.

What if I want to change something later?

Small changes are included in the monthly — prices, hours, photos, a new service. If you want something bigger further down the line, like a whole new section, I'll quote it before I touch anything.

How do I know it'll be any good?

You'll see it before you pay anything. I'll build you a mock-up of your own site — your name, your photos, your prices — and send it over. If you don't like it, you've lost nothing and I've lost an evening.

Will it actually get me customers?

Honestly, a website on its own isn't magic. What it does is stop you losing the people who are already looking for you, and make you look like a serious business when they check. That's most of the battle for a local trade.

Let's see what yours would look like

Tell me your business and I'll build you a mock-up of your own site — free, no obligation, usually back with you inside two days. If you like it, we go ahead. If you don't, no hard feelings.

Or just get in touch directly. I'm a person, not a contact centre.
